"Nestled in the foothills of Fauquier County, this year-old winery in Linden is already drawing lots of notice. The 24-acre vineyard owned by Virginia residents Tom Herrity and his wife, Deanna, grows grape varietals like chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, albariño, petit verdot, nebbiolo, syrah, plus blends of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. Appointment-only visits for wine tastings starting at $45 join a short food menu full of next-level meat and cheese boards. Its top-tier tasting room situated on a mountainside was designed by Napa bigwig Howard Backen. Hours are Thursday and Friday, noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m." - Tierney Plumb, Kalina Newman
