"Open for just over a year with little fanfare on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, this celebrity-frequented Italian eatery has closed its only Los Angeles location and plans to relocate to Santa Monica, though no reopening date or exact site has been announced. An Instagram post indicates the Sunset Boulevard perch will continue as a private events space, and the final Yelp review appears to have been posted around late 2017. The wide menu featured antipasti, pastas, pizzas and cocktails that drew a steady paparazzi presence. A New York transplant, the operation has eleven NYC locations and additional international units in Brazil, Japan, Korea and Turkey. The Sunset Strip space previously housed Maia, was briefly the LA outpost of Vegas-based Yellowtail, and before that was Mirabelle for more than four decades." - Matthew Kang
