"Tucked in a strip mall, this family-owned Middle Eastern restaurant is always busy with regulars at lunch or early dinner (they close at 7 p.m.). There are tables for eating in but for many, it’s grab-and-go. In fact, it’s the kind of place that you’ll find an excuse to drive by so you can pick up a warm, foil-wrapped pita sandwich stuffed with falafel, tabbouleh, tahini, and pickles, or one with chicken shawarma and garlic sauce (both can be ordered “spicy” with chile sauce, too). Other winners include a well-made hummus and a soothing crushed lentil soup." - Mary Hayes Weier
