"The Pavilion in Union Square, a gorgeous, open-air concrete structure, will soon host a pizza and bocce bar for the summer. Bocce will offer pizzas crafted by a Roberta’s-trained chef and summery spritzes, alongside a bocce court. Ingredients are sourced from the nearby Greenmarket. The menu includes scampi pizza, pesto and market vegetables pizza, snap pea Caesar salad, orecchiette pasta with black walnut pesto, and crispy chicken with rhubarb agrodolce. Drinks focus on spritzes, cocktails, and Italian wines. The space has a history of challenges for restaurants, but new owner Jason Leeds plans to open Bocce later this month, transitioning to delivery-only at season's end." - Stefanie Tuder
