Casual European-American Bistro Coming Into La Jolla - Eater San Diego
"Candor by Giuseppe is a new bistro opening this spring by Giuseppe Ciuffa, a well-established caterer in San Diego. The restaurant is located in the original Come On In! Cafe space on Torrey Pines Road, in the same complex as Himitsu and Rimel’s, and is being designed by Ocio Design Group. Ciuffa plans to serve lunch and dinner with a menu that reflects his Italian roots and American culinary experiences, supported by chef de cuisine Javier Tillit. The menu will include a variety of vegetable-based small plates, local fisherman’s stew, scallops, steak frites, and tagliata. Brunch will feature Come On In! favorites like lemon souffle pancakes and Croque Monsieur. Candor will also have an eight-seat wine bar with over 80 wines and wine-friendly snacks." - Candice Woo
