"I'm writing about the newly relaunched spot at 921 Woodland Street that opens tonight as Lakeside Lounge in East Nashville; the space, a revival of the former Edgefield Sports Bar, is positioned as a game-day, beer, and late-night destination from the team behind Attaboy. It still feels casual and like an old-school Nashville hang, with pool tables, darts, shuffleboard, a new NBA Jam arcade game, and individual TVs at booths, plus a bright blue mural with Lakeside’s logo by the free parking lot. The late-night menu, served nightly until 2:30 a.m., leans on bar fare and comfort foods — snacks like chips with salsa and fried pickles, a patty melt, chicken parm, a cauliflower po’boy, queso-topped loaded fries, and soft-serve ice cream served in a helmet — while drinks include an improved beer and spirits selection alongside dive-bar staples and frozen cocktails. They also run a late-night happy hour called the “beggars banquet” (midnight to last call, Sun–Thu) that pairs a Bear Creek single-patty burger with a shot of well liquor and a frosty Coors Banquet for $14, and initial hours are Mon–Fri 4 p.m.–3 a.m. and Sat–Sun 11 a.m.–3 a.m. with plans to expand to 11 a.m.–3 a.m. daily." - Delia Jo Ramsey
