Big’s Chicken Is Coming Back to Portland Proper - Eater Portland
"Big’s Chicken is a restaurant known for its Alabama-style barbecue birds, originally opened in April 2017 on NE Glisan in Portland after gaining popularity as the Five Napkin Chicken pop-up. It was established by the team behind Laurelhurst Market. The restaurant offered smoked-and-grilled chickens with a white Alabama-style barbecue sauce and jojos. However, it suffered a fire in the summer of 2017, causing it to close. It later reopened in Beaverton in 2018, continuing to serve its popular smoked chicken, pickles, and jojos. Big's Chicken is now returning to NE Glisan in Portland, moving into The Hutch tavern space, with a second location that will have 60 seats, a full liquor license, and the same menu as its Beaverton location." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
