"Opens Friday, November 8 at 5 p.m. at 898 Baronne Street in downtown New Orleans and will be open thereafter from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. The downtown outpost takes over the Warehouse District space formerly home to Caribbean restaurant NOLA Caye, which closed late last year citing issues like broken windows and vehicle break-ins. Modeled similarly to the West Coast location opened in Los Angeles in 2022, this site features a more modern interior, a full-blown bar program led by beverage director Ian Julian, and new menu items alongside staples. Chef Darian Williams, who previously cooked at Emeril’s and Nice Guys Bar & Grill, heads the kitchen. New menu items reported include fried chicken deviled eggs, Buffalo cauliflower bites, catfish etouffee, and red snapper with orzo jambalaya, while longtime staples on offer include wet-battered fried chicken, red beans and rice, mac and cheese, butter beans, fried okra, and gumbo." - Clair Lorell
