"After debuting Trattoria Cori Pastificio in North Park, chef Accursio Lota and his wife, Cori Goria, return with their second restaurant, a maximalist nonna-chic dining room that serves as the centerpiece of the new Theater District Living and Learning Neighborhood at UC San Diego. Opened November 21, it channels Lota’s Sicilian roots—he’s a Barilla World Pasta Competition champion—with arancini studded with black truffle; ravioli filled with spinach, cheese, and foraged mushrooms; crispy-skinned branzino; prosciutto-topped pizzas; and artisanal gelatos made on premise.
