"The W Chicago—City Center hotel in The Loop is in the midst of a large renovation and has already revamped its restaurant, bar and lobby on the ground floor. Its IPO Restaurant (opened in 2010) is gone and its new restaurant, Midland Social Club, opened on Saturday. The new area is full of nods to Chicago history, the Tribune reports, as chef Mark Powierski’s dinner menu includes 'West Town Pierogies,' 'Taquitos de Pilsen,' and many more Chicago neighborhood-themed dishes." - Daniel Gerzina
