"A busy Hollywood fast-casual restaurant in a strip mall at Highland and Fountain suffered a crash at about 7:30 a.m. when a boxy van—reported to have had a mechanical failure—careened through the parking lot, jumped a raised walkway and crashed into the dining area, shattering glass and damaging furniture. Fortunately no customers were inside (the restaurant opens at 11 a.m.), and a morning prep team working in the back was unharmed. Management has not announced a reopening date; in the meantime they’re directing patrons to a nearby takeout window a few doors down in the same complex and providing picnic tables in the parking lot. The operation also has several other Southern California locations, including a newer outlet in Encino." - Farley Elliott
