New York’s Legendary Blue Note Jazz Club Is Opening in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Expanding to Hollywood on August 14, this legendary New York jazz club takes over the former Stella Barra on the corner of Ivar Avenue and Sunset Boulevard inside the Cinerama Dome complex, transforming the space into a sleek venue with multiple performance rooms. The Los Angeles outpost will feature a larger “A” room for headliners and a “B” room for smaller artists and jams, and will open with Grammy Award–winning musician Robert Glasper before an inaugural season that includes Kamasi Washington, Ravi Coltrane, Killer Mike, Dominique Fils-Aime’, and more. Alongside the live music, menus by chef Asaf Maoz of Carmel promise “bold” and “internationally-inspired flavors” plus jazz-era-inspired cocktails, with dinner served throughout the week and weekend brunch; seating at tables and the bar is first-come, first-served, so arriving early is encouraged.
