For Elijah Craig Old Fashioned Week, beverage and wine director Grant Olson has created an innovative Old Fashioned using Elijah Craig Small Batch that’s been washed in Snake River Farms ribeye fat. It’s mixed with black walnut bitters he’s house-smoked over mesquite, a spoonful of simple syrup, and a touch of salt, deftly stirred and poured over a large ice cube. As a final flourish, he lightly torches a rosemary sprig to garnish the drink, along with a tangerine peel.
