"I'm a sucker for any place that calls itself a “hut,” and this one is no exception: a small cafe on the burgeoning cheap-eats strip behind the Port Authority Bus Terminal with a pristine steam table of about two dozen receptacles. Lunch is an especially good deal, with lots of vegetarian and meat options under $10 (check the signs outside for other specials); the lunch special comes with a second vegetable dish. The other day I was in the mood for goat curry and there was a steaming tub of it—some pieces boneless, some bony, about half pleasantly rimmed with fat and with no potato filler—and I paired it with saag paneer said to be made with organic spinach; both were excellent and the basmati rice couldn't have been fluffier or more flavorful. Other interesting (not always available) dishes include egg curry in a tomato-and-chile sauce, tandoori shrimp salad, Peshawari naan with nuts and raisins, and chicken biryani." - Robert Sietsema
