"Despite Dallas County’s shelter-in-place order, I’m reporting that Zalat Pizza is expanding: the local chain will open its seventh location on Monday, April 13, at 4007 Lemmon Ave., Suite B. The new outpost was always planned as a cloud kitchen with no dining room and will offer takeout and delivery via third-party apps, serving beef pepperoni and pho-inspired pies. Founder and CEO Khanh Nguyen says the cloud-kitchen model is especially appropriate now and that the company is implementing health standards and safety precautions for staff and third-party drivers; the brand already has high delivery volumes. This Lemmon Avenue location will not initially have the late hours the brand is known for — it will be open 4 p.m.–midnight Monday–Thursday, noon–2 a.m. Friday–Saturday, and noon–midnight Sunday, with plans to eventually extend hours until 4 a.m." - Adele Chapin
