"Planned as a grassroots effort in Allston—likely in Union Square at Cambridge Street and Brighton Avenue or near the Harvard Street MBTA stop—the Allston community fridge is being organized by a coalition of grassroots groups, nonprofits, restaurants, grocery stores, BU students (via a campus food rescue project), and local residents, with partners such as Allston-Brighton Mutual Aid, the Soup Kitchen at Brighton Allston United Church Of Christ, and Lovin’ Spoonfuls.
