"On a disappointing visit to the Plateau bistro Josephine, I found the place unfocused — its brasserie look and feel clashes with French thematics while the menu includes little classic French cuisine. Pricing felt excessive and portion sizes were uneven: appetizers were “alarmingly small” while main courses were “overly generous.” There were missteps such as “forgettable” and “dry” sweetbreads with escargots and a sirloin served warm rather than hot, though dishes like a John Dory and a large skate wing were delicious; the restaurant has potential but spends too much time trying one too many angles. One and a half stars." - JP Karwacki
