"An Austin mini-chain is opening its fifth location at 5532 Menchaca Road in the Westgate neighborhood on Monday, May 8. The new South Austin shop includes an indoor space and a drive-thru window (the brand's second location with one) and brews a proprietary coffee blend developed in partnership with La Colombe Coffee Roasters. The beverage menu features drip coffee, espresso, and signature specialty drinks — notably the sweet iced turbo (coffee, espresso, hazelnut, chocolate, and cream) and the Belgian bomber (those ingredients plus cold brew) — alongside black, green, and hibiscus teas, sodas, sparkling water, juice, and an optional CBD add-on. Food offerings span breakfast tacos with fillings like hash browns, migas, black beans, and bacon to lunch items such as grilled chicken and picadillo tacos, a vegan wrap, peanut butter and jelly, a chipotle grilled chicken sandwich, and a chopped salad. The interior, designed with help from Austin studio Hip Hop Design, emphasizes white walls and natural wood benches and fixtures while the exterior uses the chain's familiar green and red hues. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., the location will celebrate its opening day by offering free drip and cold brew, and it joins other sites that include the original 1999 South Congress location, a downtown Second Street spot, an Austin-Bergstrom International Airport outlet, and a Hancock neighborhood location opened in 2021." - H.
