"A pioneer in the Plaza-Midwood culinary renaissance since 2009, Soul Gastrolounge has announced plans to relocate to the Sugar Creek area near Asian Corners Mall as the first tenant in a new adaptive-reuse development called the Pass. The new space will be 6,400 square feet—more than three times larger than the original—and will include an outdoor area, a larger kitchen, and a new version of Tattoo Liquor Lounge. After closing nine months ago, Soul has been operating a food truck to keep serving favorite dishes such as pork belly tacos, lamb skewers, and Korean barbecue wings (the truck may continue to be used for catering). Co-owners Andy and Lesa Kastanas say most of the iconic items from Soul and Tattoo will move into the new location, and the new site is expected to open in the fall." - Kathleen Purvis
