"An Atlanta-based chef Ford Fry project bringing another of his Mexican restaurants to the Triangle, set to open in Raleigh on Monday, December 9. Located at 1101 E. Whitaker Mill Road in a 4,200+ square-foot space, the spot will feature a large dining room, a big outdoor patio, and a walk-up to-go window. The menu takes inspiration from Northern Mexico with the wood-roasted chicken al carbon as the star of the menu; other offerings include breakfast tacos, queso fries, smoked chicken wings, street tacos, quesadillas, huevos rancheros, and soft-serve ice cream with flavors like banuelos crunch. Fry and his team will host a pre-opening party on Saturday, December 7, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free food including a queso fountain, a selection of tacos, smoked chicken wings, soft serve, guacamole, and chips; drinks such as margaritas and beer will be for sale. If you want a taste before the opening, stop by the Raleigh Underground Market on Sunday, November 10, to try the breakfast tacos." - Erin Perkins
