"My passion for silogs — garlic rice topped with sunny-side up eggs — grew from a hobby into a farmer’s market booth and residency to the current Filipino food stall I co-own with Ken Tran at downtown Portland’s Moxy Hotel called Sun Rice. Despite the small working space and being tucked inside a hotel lobby, I’m happy with the low-risk setup because I can keep things tight, dial everything in, and focus on consistent quality so people keep coming back.
