The Wise Ox Butcher Shop Heading to Carlsbad | Eater San Diego

"Arriving in Carlsbad this November as part of the Beacon shopping center in La Costa, The Wise Ox is the Trust Restaurant Group’s North Park butcher shop brought to town by chef/owner Brad Wise, who has been running the concept since last fall after taking over the El Cajon Boulevard butchery The Heart & Trotter. The 1,314-square-foot Carlsbad outpost will have an expanded patio and a butcher case stocked with the same cuts of meat featured at the group’s other restaurants like Fort Oak and Cardellino. The store will also sell a selection of prepared foods plus stocks, sauces, beer, and wine, and although this location won’t have its own smoker (unlike the North Park shop), the kitchen will still serve a menu that includes breakfast sandwiches and burgers." - Candice Woo
