"Plans are underway to open a second Fat Radish restaurant in Savannah this summer at 36 MLK Jr. Blvd., inside the Windrose Apartment Hotel. The project pairs the managing partners of Charleston’s Basic Kitchen with the New York City–based Fat Radish team — partners Natalie Freihon and Phil Wisner, executive chef Nick Wilber, and director of operations Michelle Watanabe — while former Fat Radish partner Ben Towill and his wife Kate (who opened Basic Kitchen in Charleston and run Basic Projects) are behind the boutique hotel's design and development. As Freihon put it, "Savannah has this wonderful, eclectic energy that we find super inspiring," and the team says they have come to love the hospitality community there and "could not be more excited to open our doors this summer." - Erin Perkins
