"Set to open in the former Pearl’s Rooftop space on the Sunset Strip, Warrior arrives in West Hollywood come November with an Asian-influenced lounge menu featuring charred edamade, wagyu potstickers, barbecue pork ribs, and drunken “warrior” noodles aimed at the see-and-be-seen crowd. Typical of the nightlife-heavy neighborhood, the design mixes Asian cues—200-year-old doors imported from China, a teal-colored vintage-looking room reminiscent of the Orient Express’s bar car—and leans on a dramatic entrance: a dark red hallway lined with hand-painted wallpaper. Bold colors, velvet furniture, a marble bar and gold tones round out the look. With Huynh’s immense culinary pedigree (Top Chef Season 3 winner and a veteran of Thomas Keller’s Per Se and Guy Savoy), the food should punch above its weight, while consultants Sweet & Chili will produce a remixed classic cocktail list for a lounge where drinks may play the primary role." - Matthew Kang
