"Johnny Esposito, owner of the Midtown location of Japanese fried chicken restaurant Ponko Chicken, plans to open a location in the former Steel City Pops space on Church Street in Decatur. The restaurant should open early next year. Ponko serves Japanese tonkatsu-style fried chicken which sees meat pounded flat, coated in panko breadcrumbs, and then deep fried. The menu includes fried chicken and tofu sandwiches, salads, chicken tender entrees, fries, and sticky rice." - Eater Staff
