"Johnny Esposito, owner of the Midtown location of Japanese fried chicken restaurant Ponko Chicken, plans to open a location in the former Steel City Pops space on Church Street in Decatur. The restaurant should open early next year. Ponko serves Japanese tonkatsu-style fried chicken which sees meat pounded flat, coated in panko breadcrumbs, and then deep fried.
