Mike Love of The Beach Boys Buys San Diego Distillery Seven Caves Spirits | Eater San Diego

"Established in 2016 in Miramar, I found Seven Caves Spirits to be a small distillery led by founder and distiller Geoff Longenecker, who now also oversees operations for the new Club Kokomo Spirits after Mike Love purchased a majority stake. The distillery is producing Club Kokomo's debut ready-to-drink canned cocktails (10% ABV)—including the Kokomojito™, Love's favorite mojito made with lime, mint, lemongrass, and rum from Seven Caves; Mystique, which combines guava and lychee with jasmine tea‑infused rum; Afternoon Delight, a citrus, maple, ginger, and allspice rum cocktail that can be served cold or warmed like a hot toddy; and Excitation, a gin cocktail with notes of black cherry, passionfruit, and citrus. Longenecker, who recently released his own tiki‑inspired canned cocktails under the Seven Caves label, plans to continue expanding the distillery’s small‑batch and exploratory spirits while creating seasonal canned cocktails for both brands, with light, aged, and spiced rums for Club Kokomo due in 2023.
