"I’ve noticed that Arami, one of the city’s most respected sushi restaurants that opened in 2010 with chef B.K. Park, has a new chef, Ismael Lucero, and recently reopened for dine-in after the pandemic. The restaurant is leaning into omakase with multiple price points — including a vegetarian option — while retaining a traditional menu; customers can even call in omakase to go, giving staff a budget and sharing their fish preferences. Fujimura says the team has 'really tightened the screws at Arami in a good way' and feels invigorated." - Ashok Selvam
