"After more than a year of anticipation, I learned Clark's Oyster Bar has finally landed in Houston's Montrose, opening on October 22 as the brand's third-largest location. Staying true to its roots, the menu leans heavily into seafood classics — East and West Coast oysters, lobster rolls, saucy mussels and clams, delicate crudo, daily fish specials and piping-hot bowls of chowder — with additional catches from the Gulf and seasonal fish from around the country; breads are baked in-house (including its popular sourdough), and the menu even includes the award-winning pan-roasted Black Angus hamburger topped with Sauce Gribiche and gruyère alongside the restaurant's cult-favorite shoestring fries. The nautical, dock-side decor nods to New England with a yellow-and-white striped awning, painted shiplap and a marble-topped raw bar, and seating options range from the raw bar counter and a 23-seat bar to leather booths in the dining room, an expansive 90-seat outdoor patio and the only Clark's location to feature a private dining room. It's open daily (weekday lunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; dinner from 3 p.m. on weekdays and 5 p.m. on weekends; weekend brunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m.), offers weekday happy hour 3–5 p.m., provides complimentary valet, and occupies 3807 Montrose Boulevard." - Brittany Britto Garley
