"I'm intrigued that an entirely unofficial Lego-themed pop-up called the Brick Bar is scheduling a stop in Philadelphia from Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24, though the exact venue hasn't been revealed (or, it sounds like, determined). Organizers say the Brick Bar sold out in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and London within 24 hours, and the pop-up—initially called Legobar—has since removed direct references to LEGO and added a disclaimer that the LEGO Group does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse the site; a LEGO rep told Eater, “As a manufacturer of children’s toys, it is not within our remit to partner with brands or individuals operating in the food and beverages sector.” The installation is built from more than a million blocks assembled onsite into interactive structures like a ping pong table and a wishing well; beverages are adult drinks served in Lego-shaped juice boxes, there will be plenty of blocks for people to play with, DJs will provide music, and tickets are $25 with a signup on the website to be notified when sales open." - Rachel Vigoda
