"Mastro’s Ocean Club quite literally survived the January 2025 wildfires though dozens of structures within its vicinity were tragically burned down. Taking a hiatus for a few months before reopening in May 2025, the classy seaside restaurant has returned with stellar steaks (the A5 wagyu from Miyazaki or the dry-aged bone-in rib-eye are the ones to get), crisp wedge salads topped with ample bacon, and Japanese lounge-style sashimi. The views are frankly incredible and nearly unmatched in Southern California, with a beachside vista that only gets better as the sun sets. Waves crash just a few feet from most of the tables, giving one the sensation of floating over the Pacific." - Eater Staff
