"Located near the NYU campus (where his son Barron is a freshman), Pubkey is a cryptocurrency-themed Manhattan bar that I saw picked as a stop for Donald Trump; Pubkey CEO Thomas Pacchia told the New York Post it was “definitely amazing” that Trump wanted to experience the Bitcoin community. Ahead of the visit, nearby Greenwich Village residents blasted Taylor Swift from their apartments and a few protesters picketed in front of the bar. Trump arrived at 4:40 p.m., stayed about 20 minutes handing out burgers and beer, signing autographs, answering reporters' questions, and even made a Bitcoin transaction to buy food and drinks for the crowd, a stop that was presumably linked to his announcement of a crypto business." - Emma Orlow
