"The north end of West Palm was never known for upscale dining, but the neighborhood happens to house some of the area’s most impressive yachts, and many tony co-ops are going up nearby, so the owners of Cucina, a longtime favorite on Palm Beach island, saw an opportunity. The waterfront enclave not only offers a view of the boats, but it’s already drawing a crowd nibbling on global coastal treats from hamachi crudo to Maine lobster tacos to grilled Spanish octopus. Sushi selections include a “skinny roll” wrapped in cucumber; the daily catch often turns up super fresh local fish like strawberry grouper; and spiced roasted carrots with labneh and pistachio are satisfying enough to be dessert." - Beth Landman
