"A long-running Kenmore Square pub, Cornwall’s held a last call at 654 Beacon St. on August 12 before relocating to 644 Beacon St. (the former Bruegger’s Bagels space) and aiming to reopen by the end of the week; it officially reopened on 8/29. First opened in 1973, the family-run institution is still managed by founder John Beale and his wife Pam alongside their niece and nephews, and this move is its second relocation after shifting to 654 Beacon in 2000 due to BU construction. The pub has a decidedly British feel — with pool, board games, and a lengthy menu of pub fare — and is popular with Fenway Park visitors and college students; the building it vacated will be demolished to make way for a Boston University development. The new space, in a building managed by Related Beal, features high ceilings, wood flooring, a private dining area, and salvaged wood banquettes from the previous location that were reupholstered for use in the new pub." - Dana Hatic
