"A Fort Worth–born beer bar is polling patrons in the presidential race by selling red and blue pint glasses—$15 in-store and $20 online—embroidered with caricatures of the candidates that customers choose based on who they voted for. One glass labels the Democratic candidate as “Stuttering Joe,” while the other reads “versus a very ‘stable genius,’” and the designs also include an explicit image of the parties’ logos in a sexualized pose. The cups, promoted on the bar’s Instagram, echo past public mockery of the Democratic candidate’s childhood stutter (which he has discussed publicly) and similar comments from campaign surrogates; the owner, Shannon Wynne, told the Dallas Morning News the designs were intended not to stir controversy and that “they had to be equally bad.” After about 2,500 patrons participated via cup purchases, the bar reported the Republican candidate leading in its informal poll." - Amy McCarthy
