"I prefer Dainobu for its grab-and-go case right in the front stocked with boxed entrees, sashimi, rice balls, and the like; a microwave and hot water dispenser let you heat prepared meals, and there’s outdoor seating in a structure by the curb (technically belonging to the bagel shop next door, though signs encourage Japanese food customers to use it). The nori-wrapped spicy chicken rice ball is a favorite, and on a recent visit I had the wagyu cutlet ($8) — two substantial breaded, deep-fried burger patties — which arrived with plastic ponzu packs underneath that I microwaved by accident, causing them to explode and saturate the patties; despite my skepticism about wagyu when made into burgers, the idea of a breaded burger is a solid one and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal." - Robert Sietsema
