"Set to open inside the Detroit Creamery building at 634 Selden St. this fall, Condado Tacos (whose first Michigan outpost will open in Royal Oak this August) uses a build-your-own taco format with a long margarita list available by the glass and in pitchers. Diners pick from shell options ranging from a hard corn shell to a spicy Firecracker hard shell or a soft flour tortilla, choose fillings such as tequila lime steak, house-made chorizo, scrambled eggs, BBQ pulled jackfruit, and Thai chili tofu, and add toppings like jicama-cabbage slaw, pickled red onions, and queso; orders are placed on a scantron-like sheet. The Ohio-based chain will likely compete locally with fellow Ohio taco-and-tequila import Bakersfield." - Brenna Houck
