"At 1625 Nostrand Avenue near Tilden Avenue in Flatbush, GC Bakery (short for Grandchamps) has taken over the longtime Baker’s Treats storefront and currently functions mostly as a wholesale kitchen specializing in Haitian patties. I found the team emphasizes the patties’ flaky, pastry-like quality that puffs up more than other versions and calls the flavor especially satisfying, selling varieties like beef, chicken, cod, herring, and spinach. The bakery also offers sweets available by inquiry — pineapple upside-down cake, sweet potato bread, and kokiyol (a Haitian donut) — and aims for a “grandma-level” touch.
