"Main Squeeze Juice Company, a Louisiana-based juice and smoothie bar, is set to open three locations in Houston and its suburbs. The chain currently operates one outpost in Katy, and locations are now in the works for Baybrook, Cypress, and Humble, according to QSR Magazine. The chain is a relative newcomer to the juice bar scene, opening the doors to its first location in Lake Charles, Louisiana just about a year ago. Locally-based franchisees will operate the Houston shops, which will serve cold-pressed juices, customized smoothies made with the shop’s own almond “mylk” and acai bowls. Everything on Main Squeeze’s menu was reportedly designed by a nutritionist, and a number of uber-trendy superfoods — like blue algae and activated charcoal — can be found in its juices." - Amy McCarthy
