"This classic Italian restaurant in Boston’s historic North End was temporarily closed after a two-alarm fire on the evening of June 22 that struck the multi-use building at 288 Hanover Street. The blaze, which reportedly started on the building’s fourth floor and spread to the roof, forced the displacement of eight residents but caused no injuries; two dogs were rescued. Firefighters faced cramped streets, outdoor dining setups, heavy smoke and multiple roofs (including a glass roof) while extinguishing the fire; Hanover Street reopened to traffic a few hours later. Owned by the same family as the neighboring restaurant, the restaurant is closed to assess water damage and — according to the Boston fire commissioner — will likely be able to reopen in a few days." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
