"When Jacobo Villa and Mariana Aguirre, a husband and wife from Puebla and Jalisco, respectively, decided to open La Parilla Loca three years ago, they had limited experience in street food vending. But they were quick learners, pulling in experienced taqueros from Puebla to create some of the finest Tijuana-style tacos in the East Bay. Over the years, they’ve transitioned from operating out of pop-up tents to a truck, expanded their menu, and moved locations, but the old standbys are still the favorites: well-salted, crisp carne asada, cilantro, and onions that sit atop warm, freshly made corn tortillas, and finished with a flick of salsa and a smear of guacamole." - Lena Park
