"Promoted as Las Vegas’ only spot where customers can order Japanese dishes and boba from the comfort of their car, this anime-inspired drive-thru (with a planned dine-in room) opened in Henderson in the former Felipito’s Mexican Food location. Created by the operators of Tom Yum Thai Kitchen, the restaurant’s design, logos and artwork draw heavily from Japanese animation. Due to staffing and food-supply issues the interior remained closed at launch, so it currently operates with a pared-down drive-thru menu featuring miso ramen, curry rice with fried chicken, a teriyaki chicken bowl, a chashu-don bowl with fatty pork, and a gyu-don beef bowl; desserts include Japanese crepes and tiramisu. Beverage options emphasize boba and flavored milk teas (Okinawa brown sugar, strawberry, taro) alongside smoothies, coffees, frappuccinos and fruit teas. It’s located a mile west of the Galleria at Sunset and is open daily from 11 a.m.; typical closing hours are 9 p.m. (10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Sunday). A date for opening the main dining room has not been announced." - Bradley Martin
