"Amanda Perdomo (Wildair, Roman’s) made the dessert menu at this revived diner that lean into mid-century nostalgia, including a Hummingbird cake with pineapple jam with candied pecans, an espresso red-eye cake with chicory, flan, and coconut cream pie. But it’s this strawberry pretzel salad that’s the head-turner, a Midwest picnic classic layered with cream cheese and strawberry Jell-O.
