"I ventured to Belmar, New Jersey to try Pizzeria 'Lucci, the standalone spot from owner Mike Gallucci that opened in March; Gallucci had been the pizzaiolo at Rosie's further south on the Jersey Shore, where he made standout pies in limited quantities. The lunch and dinner menu is spare — a couple salads, a couple sandwiches, and a handful of pizzas — and the crisp Marinara, with milled tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, and good olive oil, reads like a New York–Neapolitan hybrid that’s as good if not better than most of the city’s new-wave pizzerias; it’s worth the trip, and that’s not just my Jersey pride talking." - Robert Sietsema
