"Set to open in fall 2019 on the street level of the JW Marriott in Downtown Nashville, Pabu Nashville is Michael Mina's second Nashville project with Pabu and, under Chef Ken Tominaga, aims to serve high-caliber Japanese cuisine, including a high-end sushi bar with sashimi and nigiri selections featuring fish flown in from Japan. Izakaya and robata grill offerings will add to their contemporary take on traditional Japanese dining, while a lively bar and happy hour will showcase a signature Japanese whisky program, premium and super-premium sakes, and a curated assortment of Japanese beers. Designed by ROY, the street-accessible space will embody the spirit of an izakaya-style drinking house with a modern twist, featuring a vibrant Tokyo-inspired color palette, a playful homage to 60’s Japanese pop bands, and an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining." - Delia Jo Ramsey
