"After Woolworth’s closed most of its stores in 1993, the Santa Fe branch was rebranded Five & Dime, and amazingly you can still get the Frito pie at the same lunch counter. At Five & Dime the ingredients remain chips, cheese, and chili, and I saw customers walking out of the store eating their Frito pies with fingers or a plastic fork — a sight that takes you back decades." - Robert Sietsema
