"As part of TBNA’s coordinated “soft open” on May 15, I note that Wonder Bar is participating in a staff-only run meant to demonstrate safe reopening practices: doors unlocked, window boards removed, no drinks sold to the public, and DJs or live music encouraged. The bar will adhere to TBNA’s proposed guidelines—adding spaced tables and chairs to discourage standing, hiring extra door staff to enforce social distancing, using single-use plastic cups and paper plates, requiring staff masks, and supervising hand-sanitizer use—to try to show the industry can reopen safely.
