"Above the bistro on the fourth floor, I found Elements — a darker, more metropolitan bar and lounge led by bar director Trevin Hutchins (Comma Ca in Las Vegas; Central Provisions and Tempo Dulu in Portland, Maine) with room for about 75 guests. Cocktails range from elaborate individual presentations (the All Bark and No Bite, a five-amari blend with Carpano bianco and Rittenhouse rye, served in custom-made glasses blown to fit like puzzle pieces around tree branches) to large-format spectacles (the Bird in the Hand, a Paloma-style drink with Espolòn blanco tequila, Campari, grapefruit, honey, and absinthe, presented from a four-spigot absinthe fountain). Hutchins draws on classic, French-influenced New Orleans drinks while also stressing local spirits and seasonality; his menu is organized into four elemental sections (including a fire section with a flaming tiki cocktail). Elements can receive and send drinks to other floors via tested dumbwaiters, offers the bistro’s menu upstairs, and is supported across ONE65 by advanced sommelier Vincent Morrow. Elements is open daily 11:30 a.m.–12:00 a.m., with weekend brunch 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m." - Caleb Pershan
