Beloved Portland LGBTQ Bar Sissy Bar Closes - Eater Portland

"Sissy Bar, a beloved LGBTQ video bar in the Buckman neighborhood, closed on Saturday, October 26, after operating for just over two years since its opening in June 2022. It was known for its lively parties, inclusive community, and Colombian food prepared by owner-operator Derek Palmer. The closure was announced in an Instagram post, citing the economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic as the reason. Despite its closure, Sissy Bar was appreciated for its role in the community and its unique culinary offerings." - Rebecca Roland
