"Wildwood Spirits' new Ballard tasting room and distilling space marks a significant expansion from its original Bothell location. The grand opening featured a silent auction raising $10,000 for the Ballard Food Bank, catered snacks, an open bar, and a display of their new copper distilling equipment. Co-owners John Howie and Erik Liedholm, the latter a certified master distiller, aim to expand Wildwood's reach with this new facility. Known for their 'farm to distillery' approach, Wildwood's spirits include the award-winning Kur Gin and Rendition Rye Whiskey, both of which have received international recognition. The new Ballard location allows for increased production, particularly of their fan-favorite Dark Door bourbon. Wildwood aims to broaden distribution across the West Coast and eventually nationwide." - Brianna Gunter
