"In Arlington I found Fresh Impact Farms, a hydroponic indoor operation run by Ryan Pierce that grows small-scale assortments of herbs and edible flowers used by some of D.C.'s fanciest restaurants; I learned that chef John Spero of Reverie introduced Adams to Pierce, Fresh Impact came online in early 2018, and its consistent, local supply provided access to delicate foraged-style ingredients that Bourbon Steak and other high-end kitchens previously relied on from distant (and pricier) sources." - Tierney Plumb
